A Moment of Remembrance
This Memorial Day locate a service near you to observe and honor those who have died in the service of our country.
By Michelle Bridges, for VALOR Forge
Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country. The “National Moment of Remembrance” resolution passed in December 2000 asks that at 3 p.m. local time, for all Americans, “to voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to the sounding of taps.”
